These blocks of the month (October 2008) are two traditional patterns, but block 2 can also made as a foundation pattern.

Follow the next piecing order:

Block 1:     A1-5, B1-2, A+B (sew these parts 4 times: AB, AB’, AB’’, AB’’’)
        AB to C number 10, AB’ to C-AB following the numbers 20,21,22
        AB’’ to C-AB’ following the numbers 30,31,32, AB’’’ to C-AB’’ following the numbers 40,41,42
        AB’’’ to AB following the numbers 50,51.

Block 2:     D1-5, E1-5, F1-5, G1-5, H1-5,  D+E, DE+F, DEF+G, DEFG+H.
