This block of the month (October 2007) is an foundation pattern, but it can also be traditional patched. In most quilts the AB version is used, but you can also use the mirrored version (XY).

For both ways, follow the next piecing order:
A1-3, B1-3, A+B, 4 x AB = whole block. (X1-3, Y1-3, X+Y, 4 x XY = whole block)
